HLB’s Houston – Hidden Gems

Brownfields can create serious challenges for communities and are often difficult to redevelop due to environmental contamination risks, cost, and liability.

HLB refers to these properties as “Hidden Gems.”

To support community action, HLB launched an online reporting tool that allows residents to identify and report potential Hidden Gems in their neighborhoods. This initiative helps raise awareness, highlights possible environmental risks, and supports efforts to improve and redevelop these areas.
