Houston Land Bank Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) Eligibility
The Houston Land Bank (HLB) Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) is established to ensure community representation in land banking efforts and to guide equitable development, affordable housing, and responsible land use. NAC members provide input, review projects, and help shape policies that impact Houston neighborhoods. The NAC is open to all Houstonians. HLB seeks representatives from all its communities, ensuring diverse perspectives and equitable representation.
• Members must complete an application process and be approved by HLB.
• Members cannot be elected officials, City of Houston employees, HLB employees, or individuals or businesses procured by HLB.
Purpose
The NAC exists to:
• Ensure community voices are reflected in HLB's work and decision-making.
• Promote transparency and equitable public land use.
• Provide a forum for reviewing proposals, shaping policies, and offering place-based insight.
• Strengthen trust between HLB and residents, especially in historically underserved areas.
Vision
The NAC envisions a Houston where:
• All communities—especially those historically excluded—have a say in how land is developed and preserved.
• Public land is used in ways that reflect neighborhood identity, need, and long-term resilience.

NAC members:
